Yahoo News reports that a cherry tree grown from a seed that journeyed through the cosmos to spend eight months on the International Space Station is not only growing at a startlingly rapid rate, but also flowering erratically.
Instead of taking the usual ten years to blossom, the space-sprig bloomed at a mere four.
And the potential explanation, you ask?
Cosmic rays.
