Fractyls are freakish, 5' tall, winged beasts made of living crystal.  They roost in the top floors of ruined skyscrapers (often perching like glittering gargoyles), and Dive to carry off over-sized vermin, toxic fish, and hapless adventurers.

Fractyls are immune to all energy attacks but cold- (suffering the appropriate -2 Saves against them, as per Epidermal Photosynthesis) and sonic-based.

Refitting an energy-based Advanced Pistol or Advanced Rifle with shards from a fractyl increases its damage output by +2 per die.  Doing so modifies the relevant Technology Roll by -15%.
